010203040506070910111213sheep 15The 2010 Windland Smith Rice “Zoos and Aquariums” Category Winner was captured at the Bronx Zoo when a Western Lowland Gorilla became intrigued by a fearless Mallard duckling. It was displayed at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in 2011.

  1. Thank you Tom. I actually see this site everyday as I sit at my computer. The crabapple tree totally takes up my window next to the computer. My berries are no longer fresh and are not as pretty as yours in the picture. I have seen the most beautiful birds that I have never seen before and I can watch them a long time as they try to crab that little berry and keep it in it’s mouth. I’m glad some of these birds choose to stay in this cold weather as they have brought gorgeous sites my way.
