Four Mouths to Feed

After constructing her nest, this robin patiently sat and warmed her four, blue eggs for two weeks, rarely leaving her nest. This photo is for my Mom who personifies patience as well as all of the other virtues that mothers need most.

  1. Oh Tom, I love this one! I have a mother robin sitting on her nest, as we speak. Every year there is a nest in the same place – between two of the rafters on our upstairs deck. It is so much fun to watch her feeding her little ones and then teaching them to fly. Robins are very responsible parents! Thanks for another great photograph!
