Spring Migration Jubilation

“It’s raining birds!” wrote a particularly enthusiastic birder after recently spending a day in Central Park. Dave Taft of the New York Times described the birds as “colorful, frenetic migrants” and “tiny bundles of nerves, flitting through treetops in near perpetual motion, their gorgeous colors a blessing for the eyes.”Redstart_wordpresswarbler2_wordpressPhotographed this May at Rockefeller State Park, an American Redstart and a Yellow Warbler.

    1. That’s very funny because when I first saw it I thought it was a “Yellow-rumped” but then I happened to see a photo of a female while I was looking up information on the male. “That’s it!” So much to learn. And I so appreciate your kindness and generous feedback!

  1. What an interesting interpretation of the challenge; makes me want to see more of your work as a photographer.

I’ll be following you from now on. Have an amazing day! 🙂
