Spring Migration Jubilation

Redstart_wordpress“It’s raining birds!” wrote a particularly enthusiastic birder after spending a day in Central Park in May. Dave Taft of the New York Times describes the warblers as “colorful, frenetic migrants” and “tiny bundles of nerves, flitting through treetops in near perpetual motion, their gorgeous colors a blessing for the eyes.”warbler2_wordpressAn American Redstart and a Yellow Warbler were photographed at Rockefeller State Park.

    1. That’s very funny because when I first saw it I thought it was a “Yellow-rumped” but then I happened to see a photo of a female while I was looking up information on the male. “That’s it!” So much to learn. And I so appreciate your kindness and generous feedback!

  1. What an interesting interpretation of the challenge; makes me want to see more of your work as a photographer.

I’ll be following you from now on. Have an amazing day! 🙂
